Michael Gray

Michael Gray

Michael has over 14 years experience in the Investment and Finance field working with major companies such as the Commonwealth Bank, Esanda and BMW. He has worked closely with many professionals, business owners, major corporations and self-funded retirees over the years to assist them in achieving their set investment and financial goals. Michael holds a Masters Degree in Applied Finance with a double major in Wealth Management and Investment Management. Michael also holds a Post Graduate in Mining Finance and a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).
Claire McGregor

After working in paraplanning at another major firm, Claire joined the Elston team in 2010. Several years of industry experience has give Claire an appreciation of solid planning and strong client service. Claire is committed to building her qualifications to ensure that her clients can draw greater benefit from her skills. To her QUT degree she has added a Diploma of Financial Services, an Advanced Diploma majoring in financial planning and is completing her CFP.

Alex joined the Elston Group in 2014 after 13 years as a stockbroker with Wilson HTM. With a Bachelor of Business from University of Queensland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, Alex brings a wealth of direct market experience to the group with his specialisation in direct equities. Elston’s broader strategic framework combined with our quality investment process means highly specific advice that delivers targeted outcomes. Good investment requires experience and process. Alex enjoys bringing that certainty to client relationships enabling confidence and peace of mind. Alex works closely with corporate based clients in Brisbane and also many rural families looking to build “off farm” assets or transition to retirement. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his young family, loves his sport and in particular is a keen cyclist.

Darren Withers is a Director of Elston and the Head of Strategic Advice with 20 years experience in the industry. A passionate advocate of the benefits of having a strategic plan, Darren works with clients to ensure they are doing everything possible to achieve their goals. Darren has 3 times been names as a member of the Financial Planning Master Class by AFR Smart Investor Magazine (2007, 2010 and 2013). Darren is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with the FPA and a Specialist Self Managed Super Fund Adviser with the SMSF Association. Darren has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Donna Picton has worked for some of the biggest and respected names in the industry. Her journey has taken her to ABN Amro Morgans, Citibank, and Deutsche Bank. It has also given her the opportunity to leverage her tertiary qualifications, a Bachelor of Business majoring in Banking and Finance plus a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. After honing her skills as an investment adviser at Wilson HTM, Donna moved to Elston in 2007.

Investment Adviser Ramon Felstead is passionate about providing advice with integrity and honesty for all clients. His determination to fine tune his skills took him from one of Australia’s largest financial planning firms to Elston. There, he has focused on the key strategies for reducing tax and maximising the effectiveness of investments. Having completed a Bachelor of International Business and a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning), Ramon is currently completing his Advanced Diploma in Financial Services.

Sunitha provides holistic financial advice to high net worth individuals, specifically tailored to each client’s needs and aspirations. She was the 2015 winner of the prestigious Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), has a Bachelor of Commerce (uq) and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services.

Disclaimer: Charter Partners and Elston have in place a business partnership agreement whereby Charter Partners owns a 50% interest in the value of any ongoing fees or ongoing commissions that Elston receives as a result of advice and services they may provide to you. Under the agreement, any ongoing fees you pay are valued by applying an assumption for earnings margin (before interest and tax) of 30% and then multiplying that amount by 6. Subject to conditions, Charter Partners has the right to sell their 50% interest to Elston and receive that value as a fee. The fee if paid, recognises the future ongoing unbilled time of Charter Partners in working with Elston on your behalf on an ongoing basis. As it is entirely your decision to engage ongoing services with Elston, we are unable to estimate if we will be eligible for any fee in relation to the services you engage with Elston or when this fee may be payable.
